The Rocky Mountains of Canada are one of my favourite places in the world to escape for some clean, fresh air, solace, stress relief, and peace. This was my last hike, which took some internal motivation! 1400m+ of elevation gain to the summit, with incredible colours and views! I didn’t think I was going to make it to the top. But once immersed in the landscape, I saw the final destination, and there was no turning back!
A mountain is a great teacher! We must remember that we are all mountains, steadfast and strong. We must find our own mountain of motivation within ourselves and our minds. This allows us to conquer our fears, and to reach our dreams and goals. Not everyone wants to climb a mountain like I do, but metaphorically, the mountain represents any challenge, journey, dream, or goal.
One of the first things we can do when facing a new challenge is making sure we are on the right mountain! When we live authentically in our own truth, our energy centres automatically align with the universe. Challenges become exciting opportunities.
But if we are living according to how someone else thinks we should live, things become very difficult. Why? Because we are out of alignment with our soul’s truth! When this happens, we may select the wrong mountains to climb, which only leads to quitting, frustration, or despair.
The main thing to remember when you tell yourself you can’t do something is to make sure you’re doing what you love and are passionate about. If you hate the idea of hiking up a mountain, then choose something different that resonates with your soul! Make that your mountain!
If we know ourselves and our core values, we are able to set achievable goals, make commitments, and stay in a healthy balance. Sometimes it takes teamwork, and other times it takes being alone. Sometimes it takes baby steps to start, and other times it takes a giant leap of courage and faith.
My wish is that you will all find your mountain within, whatever that looks like for you! With the right mindset, you will have the motivation and determination it takes to conquer any challenge, while being in alignment with your soul’s truth. When we find our own inner strength and light, we help others find theirs!
Choosing the right mountain for you is kind of like speaking your truth. Find out how you can do this here: Speaking Your Truth Can Begin With Yoga
